Let me tell you a little about our lead singer Donald Morris. Donald first joined the Dixie Melody Boys in 2008. He was here about a year and left briefly to attend college. Upon returning in 2009 Donald has continued to build on the brilliant career he started a few years before. His incredible voice impresses people everywhere we go. He is also a gifted songwriter, having written several songs for the Dixie Melody Boys as well other groups including the Inspirations. Donald is a newly wed and in November of 2011, he and his wife Kaylen welcolmed a beautiful baby girl into their family. With as many hours as we spend on the road, we get to see what a great guy he is and a fantastic Christian. We thought it would be great for you to get to know him a little better. Where were you born? Greenville, NC
How did you start singing? I grew up around a musical family. My dads family always had a band and would sing at family gatherings. We would go to concerts. Naturally at a young age I began to learn to play instruments. Singing always came third after playing instruments and songwriting. I didn't start singing till I was 16. It was for a Christmas program.
Tell us about your family? I'm married to my beautiful wife Kaylen and we have a beautiful daughter, Kaylee.
What is your favorite DMB story? The time Steve accidentily threw a fifty dollar bill into a garbage dumpster. It was pouring down raining and had to go in after it. Every once in a while you'd see his head pop up like a racoon. He finally found it. It was hilarious.

Favorite sports team? Auburn University. Go War Eagles!
