We are glad to have Matt Felts as the tenor for the Dixie Melody Boys. Matt has emerged as one of Southern Gospels top tenors. He has brought much to the group and has played a vital role since the day he joined the group. While Matt has already made a huge impact in Gospel music, his background before his musical career included a sucessful career in Marketing as well a short stint in Professional Baseball. Matt owns Southern Gospels premier marketing company, Beyond Measure Marketing. He works with many top groups to advance their ministry. He has brought this skill with him and has impacted the group with it in many ways. Matt lives with his wife Jennifer and daughter Abigail in Murfreesboro, TN. Where were you grow up? St. Louis, Missouri
How did you start singing? I really didn't start till high school. I would sing in my local church praise team. One day my pastor met a guy from a local group and connected me with him. That's how I got my first group job.
Tell us about your family? I have a beautiful wife Jennifer and an incredible daughter, Abigail. We also have two dogs.
Favorite Dixie Melody Boys Story: We were singing in Virginia. When we arrived at the church, the door was locked. When we pulled on the door the alarm went off. After 20 minutes, the police showed up. I had to convince them that we weren't burglars. Luckily our poster was on the door.
Favorite place you have sung: There are so many places I love to sing. Here are just a few...National Quartet Convention, Brumley Sing, Grand Ol Gospel, Canton Palace Theatre.
